ABOUT BORGIE a.k.a. BORIS BORAS

Borgie was born in Sarajevo following the shocking death of the Yugoslav leader Josip Broz Tito in 1980. As a kid who grew up in the 80s, with the sounds of Soft Cell, Inner City & Technotronic, it was natural to find himself in Detroit sound in the early 90s, only to draw a great inspiration from the German minimal techno scene which brutally enslaved him to living, creating & mixing techno. At the dawn of the new millennium, he started promoting electronic music with two of his friends, Mustafa Salcin & Samira Poricanin, on a local radio station then called Sarajevo 202. The concept of this project, entitled Fresh Beats, was to lift all Bosnian artists creating and playing electronic music to a higher level, as well as to maximize their public representation. This project also sponsored almost all parties, promotions and leaflets related to the scene. During the time between 2000 and 2004, all of the most prominent DJs from Bosnia played on this show, and the promoters provided the audience with the sounds coming from some of the best DJ names in the world who either mixed or gave interviews in Fresh Beats. Nowadays Borgie is mostly occupied with a webzine net label Oscilator, releasing his production & mixed compilations. In addition to his original alias, Borgie is known as Splendex, when presenting minimal & electro, and also as Kran 709, for the sounds like Detroit & break beat, along with his friend Zlijay. And finally, at the end of the beginning, Borgie became a crucial part of Buka label management, along with many other music lovers and his friend Ymo17, a founder of the association.

To feel is also to respond, and it is appreciated. Biography is to be avoided, or Zarkoff will become subject to categorization, which may include inappropriate information into his code. Intention is not to be cryptic. Apologies. Any description is an act of violence that cannot be avoided.
